The department of ECE has established a collaboration with TI, for the benefit of the students. An MoU has been signed with them and their lab has been setup within the premises of ECE department, to give industry based training for the students.

Incubation Centre - VICANPRO

FXEC has hit yet another remarkable milestone when the department of ECE proposed to setup an incubation center within its premises. The department signed an MoU and planned to house the VLSI based company VICANPRO. The grand opening of VICANPRO Incubation centre took place in FX Engineering College. The chief objective of the Incubation centre it’s to develop the skills that matches the core competencies of today’s Industrial skillset.

NI LabVIEW Lab

National Instruments Corporation.(NI), is an American multinational company with international operation. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, it is a producer of automated test equipment and virtual instrumentation software. Common applications include data acquisition, instrument control and machine vision. LabVIEW is systems engineering software for applications that require test, measurement, and control with rapid access to hardware and data insights. LabVIEW offers a graphical programming approach that helps you visualize every aspect of your application, including hardware configuration, measurement data, and debugging. This visualization makes it simple to integrate measurement hardware from any vendor, represent complex logic on the diagram, develop data analysis algorithms, and design custom engineering user interfaces.

IBM Lab

In continuation with the MoU signed with IBM, Francis Xavier Engineering College has been identified as the “Centre of Excellence” with the objective of imparting technical knowledge for the benefit of the students by conducting various courses For establishment of COE it is imperative that aspiring educational institutes forge linkages with the industry to enhance interaction between corporate professionals and academia for imparting need based skill oriented quality education. This would enhance the employment opportunities as companies which collaborate with the institutes for COE can train their students from industry perspective and subsequently absorb them as trainees into their own organization. In this regard, We have launched 3 dedicated hi-tech laboratory worth Rs.1.76 crore.
