Sharing of Success: Yukti Innovation Challenge

On 27.03.2024 a session on "Sharing of Success: Yukti Innovation Challenge” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Electronics and Communication Engineering department from 1.30 PM to 04.30 PM. The session was handled by Er.J.Gladson Joel Raja, III ECE, Yukti Innovation Challenge Finalist 2023, Francis Xavier Engineering College. 42 students and 1 faculty participated. This event was coordinated by Dr. R Prem Ananth, IIC Convener, IIC Innovation Ambassador for "Design thinking & Innovations", Assistant professor, Francis Xavier Engineering College.

The program started with the welcome address of Dr R Prem Ananth and welcomed the guest speaker. He said that guest speaker had participated more than 15 project competition and 7 national and international hackathons. He is also one of the final list of Yukti Innovation challenge. The guest speaker started the session by explaining the Yukti innovation Challenge organized by MIC which offered an opportunity for the students to upload their innovative ideas, prototypes and startup ideas. He said his ideas was selected by the college in the first round and the project was selected in the second round when our college organize the IIC regional Meet. The final presentation was done at the national level.

He suggested the students to use their creativity and develop innovative product. He also said that product refers to an offering intended to fulfill a need or want in the market, while a project refers to a temporary endeavor undertaken to achieve a specific goal or objective. He said through Yukti Innovation Challenge, we can receive grant to convert project to product. Yukti Innovation Repository is a concept related to fostering innovation and creativity within an organization shared the importance of Yukti innovation repository. The primary purpose of Yukti Innovation Repository is to collect and showcase innovative ideas, projects, or solutions developed within an organization or a community. Yukti Innovation Repository categorizes and organizes innovations based on different criteria such as industry, technology, department, or problem domain. This makes it easier for users to search and access relevant innovations. Yukti Innovation Repository plays a crucial role in nurturing a culture of innovation, fostering collaboration, and driving positive change within organizations and communities. He also explained how to register and upload ideas and prototypes in the repository. Through Yukti repository every year Yukti Innovation Challenge is conducted, it holds significant importance in fostering innovation, driving problem-solving, and promoting collaboration within an organization or community. Participation in the challenge provides valuable learning and development opportunities for participants, allowing them to enhance their problem-solving skills, learn new technologies or methodologies, and expand their professional networks. The winner will receive maximum fund of Rs 10,00,000 for product development.
