NSS Volunteers are encouraged to do 100 hrs of Voluntary Activities. The objective of NSS is to channelize the Youth energy towards Nation building activities. These voluntary activities help NSS Volunteers to develop their personality and leadership qualities and promote the spirit of dignity of labour.The NSS Unit takes up any of the following activities which is useful to the Local Area/ Village/ Community.
Each NSS Unit in their adopted Village would undertake minimum of 100 hrs in a year. These hours can be spent either 2-3 hrs on a Non - working day i.e. Saturday/ Sunday or during lean working days or holidays. Each programme, a minimum of 50 – 100 NSS Volunteers would participate in the above mentioned voluntary Labour activities.
Francis Xavier Engineering College NSS team organized a village visit activities such as Clean India, House visit, School visit and Rally, in Adaimithipankulam village on 20.10.2022 from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm. Dr. M.Mohamed Sathik Director, School of Computes Studies, Mr. A. Charles and team, Program Coordinator, SCAD Group gave ideas about outreach activities and nearly 60 Second year CSE A branch students have participated. This Program was encouraged by our Principal Dr. V. Velmurugan, and this event was coordinated by Dr. R. Suman (ASP / Chemistry) NSS Program Officer and Mrs. M. Fathima AP/ CSE to encourage the students and staff members for contributing in rural development.
Francis Xavier Engineering College NSS team organized village visit activities of Fit India, House visit, Sapling Planting, Rally, in Alangulam village on 19.10.2022 from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm. Dr. M.Mohamed Sathik Director, school of computes studies, Mr. A. Charles and team, Program Coordinator, SCAD Group. They are gave an idea about outreach activities and nearly 57 Second year AI & DS branch students were participated. This Program was encouraged our Principal Dr. V. Velmurugan, and this event was coordinated by Dr. R. Suman NSS Program Officer, and Dr. V. Balasubramaniyan AP/ Physics, AI & DS department staff members are motivated.
Francis Xavier Engineering College NSS team organized village vist activities of House visit, Sapling Planting, Rally, in Kandithan kulam village on 14.10.2022 from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm. The Chief Guest of Thiru Jhonson durai, Head Master of Primary School, Kandithan Kulam Village, Tirunelveli and Mr. A. Charles, Program Coordinator, SCAD Group. He gave an idea about NSS activities and nearly 60 Second year CSE branch students were participated. This Program was encouraged our Principal Dr. V. Velmurugan, and this event was coordinated by Dr. R. Suman NSS Program Officer, and CSE department staff members are motivated.
Francis Xavier Engineering College NSS team organized Health Awareness Program in APJ Block at FXEC on 9.09.2022 from 10.30 am to 11.00 am. The Health care centre from Government Hospital, Tirunelveli. The team had given awareness about Health and distributed the Tablets to the II & III year IT department Students and nearly 45 students were participated. This Program was encouraged our Principal Dr. V. Velmurugan, Mr. Zahariya Gabriel Campus Manager and this event was coordinated by Dr. R. Suman NSS Program officer, and all department staff members are motivated.
Francis Xavier Engineering College NSS team organized the International Yoga Day Celebration Awareness program in AK Block at FXEC on 21.06.2022 from 4.00 pm to 4.30 pm. Here nearly 25 students Participated and did yoga practice. This Program was encouraged by our Principal Dr. V. Velmurugan, Mr. Zahariya Gabriel Campus Manager and this event was coordinated by Dr. R. Suman NSS Program Officer.
Francis Xavier Engineering College NSS team organized Voluntary Blood donation Program in our FXEC on 01.09.2022 from 4.00 pm to 5.00 pm. The Mechanical students are voluntarily donate blood to the emergency patient. This Program was encouraged our Principal Dr. V. Velmurugan, Mr. Zahariya Gabriel Campus Manager and this event was coordinated by Dr. R. Suman NSS Program officer, and all department staff members are motivated.
Francis Xavier Engineering College NSS team organized Voter Id Link with Adhar card Awareness Program in APJ Block at FXEC on 26.08.2022 from 10.00 am to 11.00 pm. The NSS volunteers distributed the form to all branch of Engineering Students and staff in FXEC, Tirunelveli. The team had given awareness about Voter Id Link with Adhar card to all branch of Engineering Students and nearly 150 FXEC students were participated and around 900 forms are distributed to all branch of students. This Program was encouraged our Principal Dr. V. Velmurugan, Mr. Zahariya Gabriel Campus Manager and this event was coordinated by Dr. R. Suman NSS Program officer, and all department staff members are motivated.
Francis Xavier Engineering College NSS team organized Plastic Awareness Program in Pongal celebration at FXEC on 13.01.2022 from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm. The Chief Guest of Dr. K. Jeyakumar General Manager Development SCAD group of institution. All department staff members are teaching and non teaching nearly 200 staff were participated. This Program was encouraged our Principal Dr. V. Velmurugan, Mr. Zahariya Gabriel Campus Manager and this event was coordinated by Dr. R. Suman NSS Program officer, and all department staff members are motivated.
Francis Xavier Engineering College NSS team organized Prohibition of alcohol Awareness program in APJ Auditorium at FXEC on 28.03.2022 from 3.00 pm to 04.00 pm. The Chief Guest of Thiru A. Muthu Lakshmi, Inspector of Police, Tirunelveli. She had given awareness about prohibition of alcohol to students of ECE , CIVIL & MECH department and nearly 155 Engineering students were participated. This Program was encouraged our Principal Dr. V. Velmurugan, Mr. Zahariya Gabriel Campus Manager and this event was coordinated by Dr. R. Suman NSS Program officer and Mrs.M.Navaneetha velammal ASP/ECE, Dr.S.Allwin devaraj AP/ECE & Ms. Sri Nandhini P.Ed., staff members are motivated.

Our College students of all stream of Engineering, nearly 200 students were Vaccinated. This Program was encouraged our Principal Dr. V. The students of all branch of engineering all year students nearly 50 students were participated. This Programm was encouraged our Principal, Dr. D.C Joy Winnie wise, Mr.Krishnakumar. AGM, district collector of Shilpa Prabhakar Satish IAS, election commissioner and other collectrate officers are motivated, This event was co-ordinated by Dr. R. The students of civil engineering first year students nearly 50 students were participated. This Program was encouraged our Principal, Professor Calendar and other NSS staff members are motivated.
