On 05.07.2022 the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of IT department and IIC organized a session on “Value Proposition as a Strategy to enable the Innovators to develop Marketable Products”. The session was handled by Ms. M. Aruna Devi, Assistant Professor, Department of AI&DS, FXEC. The Program was arranged by through offline mode. The programme was presided by Dr.J.B.Shajilin Loret and coordinated by Dr.L.Gandhimathi, EDC Coordinator of IT department.

The resource person explained the concept of value proposition. He said some believe that product success depends upon having some technology that is better than something else and as a result, the world will beat a path to that product's door. Others think that if they simply get into a room and brainstorm ideas or even play ideation games, the right ideas will automatically come forward and the product will succeed. During her talk she insisted on starting a business using successful products start with clearly understanding what people and organizations “do". What they do, how they do it, why they do it and so forth. This course enables the participants to figure out what their prospective customers “do" and then translate that into a compelling “value proposition". Together the “dos" will enable engineering to build the right product and the value proposition will direct marketing to get the marketing plan right. Together, implementing the right “dos" and “value proposition will ensure product success. The objective to promote the understanding what your customers "do" innovating and design will enhance the value proposition of your product.

She also inspired the students with Motivating Stories about successful Student Entrepreneurs.The session was an interactive one where the students were very participative in order to innovate the talents and clarify their doubts. There are students with motivation who become successful student entrepreneurs after a hard road of work and practice. Totally 35 students and 1 staff members participated in the session.
