Session on Scope for Entrepreneurship in Digital Social Media Networks

The scope of social media has spread to almost every corner of the world. With a motive to impart knowledge on digital social media networks, a session was conducted on the topic “Scope for Entrepreneurship in Digital Social Media Networks'' on 31st, Oct, 2022. The Program was arranged by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of the IT Department and MHRD IIC through offline mode and was presided by Dr.J.B.Shajilin Loret and jointly coordinated by EDC director and IIC president Dr. Lourdes Poobala Rayen. Mrs. J.Priskilla Angel Rani AP/CSE was the speaker for the session. The resource person highlighted some of the key characteristics based on Social Media Marketing and the importance of Social media for Businesses. During her talk she insisted on increasing business competitiveness, better targeted marketing and also discussed how social media can help engage with your customers and find out what people are saying about your business. She further added the various ways in which Social media can help businesses like attracting customers, getting customer feedback and building customer loyalty. The resource person elucidated that social media has became the 10th largest economy and also the 2nd largest population in the world. She advised students to think beyond conventional, which helps them to improve creativity skills. The session was an interactive one and the students actively participated and clarified their doubts. A total of 55 II year B.Tech students participated in the session. The program was organized by Dr. L. Gandhimathi, EDC Coordinator of IT department.
