Session on Innovation: A Driver for Entrepreneurship Growth

On 20th Oct, 2022, a session was conducted on the topic “Innovation: A Driver for Entrepreneurship Growth” under the activity code ACT/22-23/00500 and was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of IT department and MHRD IIC through offline mode. The programme was presided by Dr.J.B.Shajilin Loret and jointly coordinated by EDC director and IIC president Dr. Lourdes Poobala Rayen. Ms. J. Monica Esther AP/IT, FXEC was the speaker for the session. The resource person highlighted key characteristics based on discussion with a driver for entrepreneurship growth. During her talk she insisted on MSME support which can attract a different profile of student from those that typically engage in our practical volunteering or skilled placement offer and enable highly engaged students to become leaders in their communities. She also discussed some of the list of schemes available in MSME such as Credit Linked Capital Subsidy Scheme for Technology Upgradation. Credit Guarantee Scheme, ISO 9000 certification and reimbursement scheme (application form and beneficiaries listing), Participation in International Fairs, Purchase and Price Preference Policy, Prime Minister's Rozgar Yojana (PMRY). The session was an interactive one and the students participated eagerly in order to innovate the talents and clarify their doubts. A total of 55 III year B. Tech students participated in the session. The program was organized by Dr.L. Gandhimathi, EDC Coordinator of IT department.
