On 14.03.2024 a Guest Lecture on "Prototype and Process Design Development” was conducted by Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Master of Computer Application. The session was handled by Mr. Jai Siddharth, Founder& CEO-Heylon Technologies,Tirunelveli 1.30 PM – 3.30 PM. 50 students and 1 faculity participated. This event was coordinated by Mrs.M.K.Subbulakshmi AP/MCA. This event was conducted with the guidance of Dr. Lourdes Poobala Rayen, EDC Director.

The event began with greeting from Mrs. D. Angeline Ranjithamani, Head of the department of MCA at Francis Xavier Engineering College and introduced the guest speaker. The guest speaker explained the significance of conceptualizing ideas and translating them into tangible designs. This initial step is crucial as it lays the foundation for the entire product development journey. Moving forward, the speaker elucidated on the process of creating prototypes. He explained how prototypes serve as tangible representations of ideas, allowing designers and engineers to evaluate functionality, aesthetics, and feasibility. Through hands-on examples, he explained the iterative nature of prototyping, emphasizing the value of learning from each iteration to refine the final product.

Furthermore, the speaker emphasized the importance of rigorous testing throughout the development process. They highlighted how testing helps identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement, ultimately leading to a more robust and user-friendly product. In conclusion, the guest speaker underscored the necessity of innovation and experimentation in design and development. He encouraged the participants to embrace creativity and explore diverse approaches, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and advancement in the field of product design.
