Motivational Talk on Business Ideas in Food Processing Industry

On 28.11.2022 an expert talk was organised by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and Institution innovation Council in association with the Department of Computer Applications on the topic "Business Ideas in Food Processing Industry”. Mr.R.Ben Johnson, Grace Path Makers, Erode delivered the talk from 1.30 pm - 4.00 p.m. The program was coordinated by Mr.R.Albert Paulin Michael, EDC Coordinator and AP/ MCA. 50 students and 1 staff member actively participated in the session.

The resource person explained the emerging business ideas with live examples. While explaining the various business ideas he highlighted the emergence of startups in the field of food processing. He also explained value added opportunities in food processing. He named few products namely banana, potato, tomato which are having lot of business potentials. He also explained the business opportunities available in cereals and millets processing. He highlighted the importance of bringing the food articles under the value added emerging products. Moreover, people are expecting the food products like bakery business, cashew processing business, diabetic food Manufacturing Business, Fruit Juice Processing Business, grape wine manufacturing business, honey processing business. Moreover, he listed some of the most profitable food manufacturing business like nuts processing, biscuits or cookies, Ready-to-eat snacks etc. All the students were benefited by the seminar. It was an interactive session with valuable takeaways for all.
