On 31.10.2023 a Guest Lecture on "Motivating the Students towards Tech Startup" was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Master of Computer Application. The session was handled by Ms.Dharshini and Ms.K.Lakshmi Priya, Students Startup Founders (IV Year CSE), Francis Xavier Engineering College, Tirunelveli from 9.15 AM - 12.00 PM. 55 students and 2 faculties participated. This event was coordinated by Mrs.M.K.Subbulakshmi AP/ECE.

The event commenced with a warm welcome from Mrs. Angeline Ranjithamani, the Head of the MCA department at Francis Xavier Engineering College. In her opening address, she highlighted the central themes of the program, which revolved around entrepreneurship, startups, innovation. She then proceeded to introduce the student startup founders. The speaker focused on the importance of embracing innovation and fostering a growth mindset. The speaker said that the tech industry is ever-evolving, and it offers lot of opportunities to develop innovative products.

In the second part of the lecture, the speaker shared their personal experiences in launching a tech startup. They emphasized the significance of identifying a problem or need in society that the startup can address. This resonated with the students, as they began to realize that their own ideas and passion for technology could be the foundation of a successful venture. Furthermore, the lecture stressed the significance of teamwork and networking. The speaker underscored that no successful tech startup is built by a single individual but requires a dedicated and diverse team with complementary skills. The speaker also discussed the significance of resilience and adaptability when dealing with the inevitable setbacks and challenges that arise in the startup journey. Students were motivated to persevere through failures and keep their long-term goals in mind. The guest lecture on motivating students towards tech startups was a valuable and inspiring experience. The speaker's personal insights and practical advice left a lasting impact on the students. It not only encouraged the students to consider the entrepreneurial path in the tech industry but also equipped them with essential principles and a mindset required for success.
