On 28.11.2023 a seminar on "Motivate to Innovate: A Symphony of Creative Sparks" was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The session was handled by Mrs.BagyaLakshmi, Assistant Professor ,Computer Science and Engineering, Francis Xavier Engineering College, Tirunelveli from 9.30 AM - 12.30 PM. 60 students and 2 faculties participated. This event was coordinated by M.Mariammal AP/CSE.

The program started with the welcome address by M.Mariammal, AP/CSE, Francis Xavier Engineering College. The resource person said that the innovation and creativity are vital for entrepreneurial success. They enable entrepreneurs to differentiate themselves, respond to market changes, solve problems, drive growth, take risks, attract stakeholders, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Moreover, the creativity and innovation have become the vital point to enhance the value of entrepreneurship. Creativity helps us how to improve existing business practice. Innovation is about making a process that can convert invention or gain idea to become more marketable product or service.

The speaker also said that in any team or organization, some individuals are consistently more likely to come up with ideas that are both novel and useful. These ideas are the seeds of innovation, the intellectual foundation for any new products and services that enable some organizations to gain a competitive advantage over others. The organizations are often unable to put in place the right processes, leadership, and culture to turn creative ideas into actual innovations, which causes even their most creative employees to underperform. Students raised few questions to clarify their doubts which were answered by the guest speaker. The students actively participated in the discussion which created enthusiasm to enrich their understanding about the innovation and the need for involving in the development of the innovative products.
