On 29.09.2023 a session on “Looking Back the Entrepreneurial Track - An Experience Sharing” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Electronics and Communication Engineering department. The session was handled by Mr Muth Barvin R, II CSBS, Proprietor, Tamilan Gadgets, Francis Xavier Engineering College. 46 students and 1 faculty participated. This event was coordinated by Dr. R Prem Ananth, IIC Convener, IIC Innovation Ambassador for "Design thinking & Innovations", Assistant professor, Francis Xavier Engineering College.

The program started with the welcome address of Dr. R Prem Ananth, IIC Convenor, he introduced the student entrepreneur and explained the activities of IIC. The guest speaker started his speech and said that he has two startups, one Tamil gadgets which deals with Mobile accessories, New mobile, Demo mobile, Secondhand mobile, Photo frame and customize gifts and the second one is Techtonic, door step mobile service in Tirunelveli. He said the Corona pandemic period paved the way to develop my entrepreneurial journey. The speaker said to the students that during the pandemic I started my business of selling cell phone back cases later the business was extended to provide door step mobile service in Tirunelveli. He advised the students to start a small business in the initial stage it will create the interest to grow as a big business in future. He said techtonic was started before three months and so far, I have received 250 orders. It happened just because of identifying the gap in the market and introduced the door step mobile service.

He requested the students to identify the gap in the market or a problem that needs to be solved, which will lay the foundation for beginning the entrepreneurial journey. He also said that entrepreneurship is never a smooth ride. During my journey I have encountered various challenges, including financial constraints, market competition, and operational hurdles. These challenges made me to think and produce creativity solutions to overcome all my hurdles. He said entrepreneurship is a constant learning experience. This includes insights on leadership, team management, adaptability, and the importance of networking. He concluded the session by sharing his future plan for expanding the startup Techtonic from Tirunelveli to Tamilnadu. The session was an interactive one and all the participants enjoyed the session and motivated by the guest speaker.
