On 24.06.2022 a motivational program was arranged by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of IT department and IIC on the topic “Inspiring the Budding Engineers towards Start-up Ecosystem” through offline mode. The session was handled by Dr.R Suman, Assistant Professor, Chemistry, FXEC. The programme was presided by Dr.J.B.Shajilin Loret and coordinated by Dr.L.Gandhimathi, EDC Coordinator of IT department.

The resource person explained the concept of ecosystem conducive to develop start-ups. He also highlighted the ecosystem players such as the investors, government policy for the promotion of start-up, access of credit to initiate entrepreneurial activities, mentorship, market access and incubators. He said that the role of the government plays a vital role in increasing the momentum to start the entrepreneurial venture.

During his talk he insisted on important startup ecosystem players of India’s growing startup landscape. Startup Connect is set to gather the who's who of the Indian startup ecosystem to discuss all things tech and innovation. However, they will only invest where they see a significant potential return on their investment. Through events and activities, the ecosystem enhances the chances of meeting like-minded entrepreneurs, potential investors, as well as suppliers and partners.

He also inspired the students with live examples for the business startups and the angel investors who are willing to help the entrepreneurs who are in the early stage of startups. The session was an interactive one where the students were very participative and raised lot of questions relating to the startup ecosystem enablers. 40 students participated in the session.
