Innovation-A New Trend to Inspire Budding Engineers

On 25th August, 2022 the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science in association with Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC organised a guest lecture on “Innovation-A New Trend to Inspire Budding Engineers” @ 1.20 a.m.–2.20 p.m. Mrs.D.Annie Rose Nirmala, Head of the department of Management Studies, Francis Xavier Engineering College was the resource person.

The guest speaker explained the need for innovation and why the engineering students must involve in innovation. She cited number of examples for the creative ideas which can be transformed into innovative products. During this session students were informed that the Innovation and entrepreneurship are the key drivers in today’s engineering world which results in sustainable products, services and technologies. From global corporations to small businesses, national governments to local governments, most of them are searching for ways to overcome the sustainable solutions to combat pressing environmental challenges.

The guest speaker gave lot of examples for innovations which resulted in the giving solutions to the social problems. By citing examples the resource person requested the participants to identify the social problems to find out a solution for the same. As the topic was relevant and the participants to think positively, students interacted frequently with the resource person and gathered lot of information. The program was coordinated by Mrs. P.
