On 24.08.2022 a guest lecture was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of IT department and IIC through on the topic “Incubation Opportunities for Students -Early Stage Entrepreneurs” through offline mode. The session was handled by Dr.A Jainual Fathima, Assistant Professor, Department of Information Technology, FXEC. The programme was presided by Dr.J.B.Shajilin Loret and jointly coordinated by Dr.L. Gandhimathi, EDC Coordinator of IT department.
The resource person explained the concept of Incubation and the activities of the incubation centre. She highlighted the opportunities available to the students to nurture their innovative ideas through the incubation centre which is available in the campus. The speaker requested the participants to make use of the entrepreneurial ecosystem available in the campus to mend their innovative ideas with the help of the incubation centres functioning in the campus in different domines. In addition to this the speaker told the participants about the startup initiatives of the Tamil Nadu state and highlighted the various opportunities opened to the students through the same. While highlighting the various opportunities to the students the speaker cited the example of the MSME Innovative Scheme where in the students can upload their innovative ideas and designs through the MSME Incubation centres functioning in the Higher Educational Institutions.
The speaker also inspired the students with motivating stories highlighting the success of the incubate. The session was an interactive one where the students were very much participative and clarified their doubts. Totally 40 students participated in the session.
