On 30.08.2022 the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of IT department and IIC organized a guest lecture on the topic “Igniting Young Minds towards Entrepreneurship” through offline mode. The session was handled by Ms. Hassana Begam.V, Young Entrepreneur.
The resource person explained the concept of Entrepreneurship and said that it is an economic activity, as it involves designing, launching and running a new business enterprise in order to earn the profit, by ensuring best possible use of resources. During her talk she insisted on creativity and innovation which is very much fundamental for entrepreneurship. It involves discovering new ideas and implementing it in business. The entrepreneur continuously evaluates current modes of running a business and identifies new methods and techniques for operating the business more efficiently and effectively. She stressed that entrepreneurship operates under an ecosystem called as entrepreneurship ecosystem. The ecosystem comprises of government programs and schemes which encourage entrepreneurship, non-governmental organizations that provide advisory services to entrepreneurs, and other organizations which promote and support entrepreneurship directly or indirectly.
She also inspired the students by giving lot of examples of Indian men and women entrepreneurs who are running their startups successfully. The session was an interactive one where the students were participative and clarify their doubts. 57 students participated in the session. The program was organized by Dr.L. Gandhimathi, EDC Coordinator of IT department.
