On 17.08.2022 a session on the title “How to pitch your startup in 3 Minutes” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of ECE department and IIC through offline mode. The session was handled by Dr. R Prem Ananth, IIC Convener, IIC Innovation Ambassador for "Design thinking & Innovations", Assistant professor, Francis Xavier Engineering College from 1.20 - 3.00 pm. The program was presided by Mrs J Friska HOD/ECE and was coordinated by Pradheep T Rajan B, Assistant Professor /ECE, Francis Xavier Engineering College.

About 43 Students from III year ECE participated from 11.08.22 to 17.08.22 a 5 days training.The resource person said that pitching is very important for any startup founder it is presenting business ideas to potential investors. During his speech, he explained the goals of the Business Pitching. According to the guest speaker, the goals of pitching in business is mobilizing the funding and resources that are important in enduring the business plan or continuing with the previously established one. He also explained some good strategies for pitching a business idea such as be respectful, be confident, get proper practice, add contact information, area of interest of the investor and delivering a valid and correct information.

The resource person explained why 3-minute pitching is important and explained the concept of elevator Pitching and the things to be considered while pitching like Speak clearly, be conversational, Practice, Time it, Smile and let your passion show the qualities of elevator pitching. The guest speaker asked the students to practice pitching for the prototypes they have developed. Participants interacted with the resource person and gained lot of insights about pitching and developing the pitch. 46 students and 4 staff members participated in the workshop.
