Entrepreneurship Skills and Attitude

On 12.12.2023 a session on Expert Talk on "Entrepreneurship Skills and Attitude" was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of AI&DS. The session was handled by the resource person Mr. P. Selvakumar, AP/MBA AP/AI&DS, Francis Xavier Engineering College. Forty five students from first year AI&DS B and 1 faculty of AI&DS department participated in the program. The program was coordinated by Mrs.P.Sooriabrabha, Assistant Professor, Department of AI&DS from 9.30AM –12.30PM.

The program started with the introduction of guest speaker. The resource person started his speech by explaining the concept of Entrepreneurship and the role of entrepreneurs in the economic development of a nation. He gave live examples in support of the leading Indian entrepreneurs who have succeeded in their venture. He also highlighted their strenuous effort to lift their organisation to the top. He then gave information about the entrepreneurial skills which are very essential to scale new heights such as creativity, adaptability and resilience, communication skills, decision-making and risk-taking and leadership and team building. While explaining the entrepreneurial skills the resource person gave lot of examples. He also explained about the entrepreneurial attitude such as passion and motivation, positive mindset, continuous learning, adopting a customer-centric approach. Students raised few questions which were clarified by the speaker. At the end of the session feedback link was shared to the students and collected the feedback.
