Database Connectivity using Struts Framework

On behalf of MCA Department, DAWN Association, a guest lecture was organized for MCA students. Mr. N. Arunachalam, Proprietor, ACME Infotek, Tirunelveli delivered the guest lecture on “Database Connectivity using the Struts” on 13th May 2023. The resource person introduced by Mrs. D. Angeline Ranjithamani, AP & HOD/MCA. The Resource Person shared about the process of Struts Framework in IT environment. The resource person conducted practical session for students on Struts Frameworks. The practical session aimed to complement theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience, enabling students to apply concepts, develop practical skills and gain a deeper understanding of the subject matter. The resource person described the topic as well as the step-by-step process followed. He highlights the collaborative or individual tasks, experiments or problem-solving exercises conducted during the session. The main topics and concepts are covered during the guest lecture. Ensure to cover the breadth and depth of the lecture content, capturing the most significant and interesting aspects of Struts framework. Students gained a solid understanding of the Model-View-Controller architecture and its implementation in the Struts framework. The Students also learned how Struts simplifies handling user input, form validation, and error handling, enhancing the user experience and application robustness. Database Connectivity: Students gained insights into integrating Struts applications with databases, including the implementation of DAO patterns and utilizing JDBC or ORM frameworks. He assessed the level of student engagement and participation during the practical session. Describe the students' level of enthusiasm, their active involvement in the activities, and their ability to collaborate effectively. Highlight any instances of creativity, problem-solving skills demonstrated by the students.
