Creative and Innovative Thinking: A Need of the Hour

On 27.10.2022 Entrepreneurship Development Cell of IT department and IIC organized an expert talk on the topic “Creative and Innovative Thinking: A Need of the Hour”. Mrs. M.Arun Devi AP/IT, FXEC was the resource person. This program was organized for III year B.Tech students. 50 students and 1 staff participated in the program.

The resource person explained the process of innovation with live examples. She highlighted the role of creativity in innovation and she said that the innovation is the end result of creativity. She requested the participants to develop innovative products using the creativity to address the social problems. She also stressed that innovation is the key to any success and it is very vital for sustaining any business. There is no industry or company that does not face challenges during the course of operations. It is here that creative thinking skills are put to test. Those with a greater creative thinking process, are often the ones who succeed. The ability to think innovatively will pave the way to solve any problem. She also discussed there are typically four situations, where the creativity and innovation skills are tested. They are when problems or Obstacles arise, when change is a must, when starting something new. In all these situations we think various options which are not conventional and out box thinking. Participants also shared few innovative ideas to solve some of the social problems exists in the social domine. The session was very interesting and interaction went on well.
