On 17.06.2022 a program was arranged by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of IT department and IIC through offline mode on the topic “Business Opportunities through YouTube for the Budding Engineers”. The session was handled by Mr. S. Sheik Sulaiman , Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering department. The programme was presided by Dr.J.B.Shajilin Loret and coordinated by Dr.L.Gandhimathi, EDC Coordinator of IT department.

The resource person explained the operation of YouTube and its advantages. He highlighted the role of social medias and mentioned about YouTube. The guest speaker also highlighted how the YouTube can be used for doing business and earn revenue out of it. He presented number of examples for the business opportunities using YouTube. He said that with over 2 billion global users, YouTube is a vital marketing platform for modern small businesses. Posting YouTube videos regularly can improve the SEO ranking, get the videos shared on other social media platforms and create opportunities to partner with other content creators and small business owners. The resource person listed top YouTube business ideas such as Video Content Creator in which videos can be created for entertaining people that capture the attention of the audience. Vlogger, Video Editor, Social Media Influencer, Gamer, Reviewer, Cooking Show and Travel Show.

During his talk he insisted on starting a business using You Tube. The YouTube channel has more subscribers and is famous for making the advertisement. It publishes current market details and product to show the customer to sell the product.

He also inspired the students with motivating stories about successful student entrepreneurs who are making money through YouTube channel. The session was an interactive one where the students were very participative and gathered more knowledge and the opportunities in the YouTube. 40 students were participated in the session.
