On 31.5.2023 a session on “Be a Boss – Become an Entrepreneur” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of AI&DS. The session was handled by Dr.Lourdes Poobala Rayen IIC President, Francis Xavier Engineering College. The students from first year AI&DS and faculties of AI&DS department participated in the program. 80 students and 1 faculty member participated in the program. The program was coordinated P. Sooriabrabha, Assistant professor, Department of AI&DS from 1PM - 4 PM.

The program started with the introduction of guest speaker Dr.Lourdes Poobala Rayen by Mrs P. Sooriabrabha, Assistant professor, Department of AI&DS . The resource person started the discussion with a question about the career option. He explained the pros and cons of opting for employment. He explained the time and financial freedom which is necessary for the peaceful living. He also highlighted the options in entrepreneurship and how one can become an entrepreneur and scale up the return. The resource person explained the what to do to become an entrepreneur. He discussed a comprehensive overview of the entrepreneurial journey, highlighting the key steps to be followed to become an entrepreneur.

He also explained the various aspects such as entrepreneurial mindset, idea generation, business planning, funding options, marketing strategies, and growth management. By understanding and implementing the aspiring entrepreneurs can increase their chances of building sustainable and thriving businesses. This session emphasizes the growing interest in entrepreneurship and the potential benefits it offers to individuals and society as a whole. The students interacted with the resource person which helped them to gather more information about entrepreneurship. The feedback of the session was received from the students at the end of the session.
