One day workshop on Emerging Trends in Fluid and Mechanical Simulation

A National level workshop was conducted at Francis Xavier Engineering College, Vannarpettai, Tirunelveli on the topic "Emerging Trends in Fluid and Mechanical Simulations,” This workshop was organised by the Aeronautical Society of India in association with the ISRO Propulsion Complex, Mahendragiri and Entuple Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore. Experts from various domains addressed the students regarding the importance of simulation in industries.

The welcome address was given by Dr. T. Ramesh,Deputy Director of IPRC and Secretary, Aeronautical Society of India, Kanyakumari branch. Shri. J. Asir Packiaraj, Director and IPRC, Chairman of the Aeronautical Society of India, Kanyakumari branch, delivered the inaugural address.

Dr.S.Cletus Babu, Founder Chairman, SCAD Group of Institutions, Dr. K. Jeyakumar, General Manager Development, SCAD Group of Institutions and Dr .V. Velmurugan, Principal, Francis Xavier Engineering College offered Felicitation. Shri C. Jebasihamony, Deputy Director, IPRC delivered the keynote address to the students, providing valuable information on simulation and the applications of simulation software such as ANSYS in industries.

Shri. Amit Kumar , Country Manager, Aerospace and Defence Entuple Technologies Pvt Ltd. Presented a topic on the Capabilities of ANSYS for Simulation. A total of 158 students from various SCAD Group institutions of FXEC, SCAD and Mother Teresa were participated in the program. These students were given hands on training in ANSYS by Entuple Technologies and IPRC team in three sessions. Shri V. Thanga Puthiavan, AeSI, KKB, proposed the vote of thanks. The entire program was coordinated by Dr R. Samuel Hansen, Professor and Head, Mechanical Engineering Department.
