The Francis Xavier Engineering College, a constituent institution of St. Xavier’s Educational Trust, now named as FX University Trust, is located in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu at four km from the City Railway Junction, 38 km from the nearest Airport at Vagaikulam, Tuticorin and 3 km from the main Bus Station. A district head quarters, the city of Tirunelveli is well connected by road, rail and air and is known for its high quality of education in the state, with a number of long standing institutions of higher learning of appreciable standards arts, science, engineering and technology, Tirunelveli enjoys worldwide reputation as “Oxford of the South India”.

The Francis Xavier Engineering College has been built aesthetically in a calm, clean and well- appointed campus in a semi-urban surrounding on a sprawling 25 acres of land. The campus is located in an ambience ideally suited for learning, research and living. The Management carefully preserves and nurtures the campus by maintaining its air, water, land and surroundings free from litters, dusts and every other pollutant.

The College runs five post graduate degree programmes and five under graduate degree programmes in science, engineering, technology and management. All the programmes are run under affiliation to Anna University Tirunelveli, Anna University Chennai and the College has the approval of the State Government and the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi.
